Meet Phil Miller
Phil Miller is a nationally award-winning arts leader, educator, and creative - widely recognized for establishing and transforming arts education programs, building dynamic moments, and developing innovative community-centered arts initiatives and creative spaces.
With over two decades of experience in professional theatre & public arts education, Miller’s diverse expertise spans classroom instruction, school administration, marketing and sales, non-profit leadership and creation, venue design and management, strategic, curricular and staff development, “all things” Career Technical Education (Arts, Media & Entertainment) focused , and program consulting across the country.
A frequent presenter at national conferences, he speaks on topics such as arts accessibility, audience engagement, fundraising, and the impact of new media in the arts and education space. One of his key strengths is his ability to seamlessly align educational strategies with the professional arts industry and currents trends.
Phil has visioned, developed, and operated professional recording studios, performing arts venues, multiple gallery and exhibition spaces, canvases for dynamic public art and community centered performances throughout his career. Phil is the Founding Artistic Director of the nationally award winning, The School of Arts + Enterprise (2013-2025) and still serves as a Strategic Consultant for both the school and The School of Arts + Enterprise Foundation which he founded in 2022.
Phil has directed, produced or developed over 300 productions, events and dynamic moments. Working with Tony Winners, Grammy & Emmy Winners and at some of the most notable venues across the region - Miller’s varied career continues to develop and grow in notable ways. He is currently a member of the District Leadership Team at the West Covina Unified School District.
